As we enter a new year, it’s always fun to take a look back. 2017 was a great year for Sage Builders. We built 24 homes including a subdivision in Eagle Ridge and received the Earth Advantage “Builder of the Month” award. We are proud of what our team has accomplished, and we are excited to do it all again this year. Here are a few of our highlights from 2017.

Sage Builders Completed 24 Homes Last Year

If you’ve been following our business for some time, you probably already know that we design and build sustainable homes in and around Central Oregon. Well, last year we completed 24 of them. It was truly a joy to work with so many amazing clients and help them build the home of their dreams.

Since we founded Sage Builders in 2001, we have completed more than 500 homes in Central Oregon. That’s a lot of experience building homes—not to mention a long list of customers who would be happy to provide references should you be looking to do the same this year. We Completed the Desert Sky Subdivision at Eagle Crest

Three years ago Sage Builders purchased 23 lots in the Desert Sky neighborhood. The goal was to build something similar to what Creekside Village Townhomes accomplished but with single-family homes and two-car garages. So we worked with Creekside’s architect Neal Huston to create three floor plans and five elevations.

In order to get started on the project, we had to sell all of the homes before they were even built. The first lot was sold in 2015 and construction began. Three years later we have built and sold all 23 homes in the Desert Sky Subdivision thanks to our wonderful teams at Sun Country Engineering, Northview Oregon Resorts and Cascade Design Center.

We Built a Modern Home on the Ridge

In 2017 we built a modern home on the ridge at Eagle Crest. The idea was to create something that incorporated the Prairie School Style of Architecture with three bedrooms, two and a half baths, a beautiful kitchen, and a three-car garage. We incorporated quartz countertops, Bayside Camel porcelain tile floors, white cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. It truly was a pleasure to work on something so beautiful.

The home is located at 1194 Highland Loop in Eagle Ridge, Redmond and was completed at the end of 2017. It is priced to sell at $599,900. Or, should you wish to build something like this all your own, we’d be happy to help with that too. That is, after all, our specialty.

We Were Recognized as Earth Advantage’s Builder of the Month

Not only do we build beautiful homes in Central Oregon, but we also build them sustainably. In September 2017 Portland-based nonprofit Earth Advantage gave us the Builder of the Month award in recognition of all we do to ensure our homes are 25% more efficient than state building code requires. We build quality, affordable homes that have a minimal impact on the environment around them and we are excited to build even more of them this year.
